Anna Vitale was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She earned an MFA from Bard College and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A poet and performer, Vitale is the author of the chapbooks Anna Vitale’s Pop Poems (2010) and Unknown Pleasures (2013) and the full-length collection Detroit (2017).
