Tarik Dobbs

Tarik Dobbs is a writer, an artist, and a 2022 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellow. Their poems appear in the Best New Poets and Best of the Net anthologies as well as in Guernica and in Poetry magazine. Dobbs helps run poetry.onl and has served as a guest editor at Mizna: Prose, Poetry, and Art Exploring Arab America and Zoeglossia. In 2022, they earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of Minnesota. Dobbs is an incoming MFA candidate in art theory and practice at Northwestern University. Their poetry collections Nazar Boy (spring 2024) and Dearbornistan (2026) are forthcoming from Haymarket Books.
