Tariq Luthun
Tariq Luthun is a Detroit-born, Dearborn-raised community organizer, data engineer, and poet. The son of Palestinian Muslim immigrants from Gaza, he is a 2022 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenburg Poetry Fellow. Luthun earned an MFA from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. He has been recognized as a Best of the Net poet and has earned fellowships from Kundiman, The Watering Hole, and the Kresge Foundation. His work has appeared in Vinyl Poetry, Lit Hub, Mizna, Winter Tangerine, and Button Poetry, among others. Luthun currently serves as a board member of The Offing. His first collection of poetry, How The Water Holds Me, was published by Bull City Press in 2020. The press named the book an Editors' Selection.
